Our chefs

We have a team of great chefs and specialists, who will ensure that you make the most of your talents and put you at ease. No prima donnas just lots of fun!

Why choose LucyCooks as an ‘alternative’ team activity?

This environment seems to allow colleagues to see each other in a new light – appreciating talents and attributes that are only revealed when the heat in the kitchen rises and deadlines loom! But don’t take our word for it - many businesses from banks to charities, manufacturers to retailers and both public and private sector companies have found the LucyCooks formula works.

Here is a taster of our corporate options:

Private ‘Demo and Dine’

We commence the evening at 6.30 pm with a welcome cocktail and the opportunity to look around the school, you will then be seated 'dinner party' style in our lovely big warm Aga room and enjoy watching one of our chefs demonstrate a Thrilling Three course menu, after each dish is demonstrated you will be served the dish to dine upon. Your private room for the evening is located right on the river Kent and has access to decking which sits directly over the river where you are able to enjoy a drink or two (weather permitting!)  There is a large plasma screen TV, so plenty of visibility for everyone and we have a small bar which you are able to purchase drinks from. This is a great way to relax at the end of the week, great food, wine, handy hints and tips and plenty of dinner party banter!

Exclusive ‘Chefs Table’A new and exciting evening of fine dining on a plate, simple and enjoyable way to host private get-togethers with memorable moments to mull over once carriages have departed. The concept enables a party of up to 20 people to take over the cookery school’s lovely Aga room for an evening of total relaxation, freedom from cookery chores, cuisine conjured up on the spot by our in house chefs and no washing up! The ambience of the riverside location, the Chef’s Table offers something truly unique.    The private dining experience revolves around a fixed, four-course menu, selected by the host from a choice of menus.

 Cooking for Each Other

Guests will be split into two teams; one responsible for designing, creating, presenting and serving the starter of your choice and similarly the other team will be responsible for the main course. The teams will serve each other while the dessert is made by the professional chef. Teams are given a budget that they have to stick to when “purchasing” ingredients from the larder at the cookery school. The professional chef will be there all day to assist with recipe ideas and quantities of ingredients required.

Professional Chefs Challenge

The Professional chef demonstrates a dish/cake/meal. Guests are then split into groups of any size and challenged to replicate the dish the chef has just made. They will then be able to taste their creations and see how they fare against the professional chef’s version regarding appearance and taste.

Lucifer’s Kitchen

Guests will watch a demonstration from a professional chef on basic preparation and cooking techniques to inspire them to create their own dishes later on in the day.

Guests are then transformed into brigades and have to cook three courses to the highest possible standard from the mystery ingredients provided.

The day culminates in the team’s efforts being judged by our   professional chefs, the winners then cooking their meal for the whole group to enjoy with a glass of wine for their evening meal in our AGA kitchen.

Exclusive hire of LucyCooks for an all day practical cook-together Colleagues come together and learn new skills in an inspiring environment. The format can be tailored to suit you - from a group-based challenge format to an instructional course at a more relaxed pace.

3d - Demo, Do and Dine  Join a practical course already on our scheduleThe 3D format we start the evening a little earlier (at around 4pm) in order to allow participants a chance to try their own cookery skills. This means they are able to put on a pinny, try out our purpose- built work stations in the school's kitchens and play with the gadgets! Guests will get to create two of the three dishes that they will be dining upon after all there hard work! Demonstrations for all the dishes will be given by our in house chefs and plenty of guidance along the way, we are able to add a good bit of healthy competition into your event or team work tasks depending on your requirements for the evening. This is one of our most popular formats and generally runs until 9.00pm so you have chance to enjoy your three course meal and a glass on wine.

Join in on a course all ready on our scheduleThis may appeal to smaller companies/groups. Simply bring your group to ‘join in’ with others.
