Directions

LucyCooks is in Staveley, a small village situated midway between Kendal and Windermere on the A591, just 10 minutes from the M6, junction 36. Simply follow the signs into Staveley from either end of the village (please see map below)

Set within the Mill Yard in the centre of the village, LucyCooks is at the rear of the yard, on the banks of the River Kent.

Parking is reasonably plentiful and free on site, although if you are coming with a friend, it is advisable that you only bring one vehicle onto the Mill Yard, as it can get congested as the day progresses.

We are very fortunate to be sharing this wonderful site with a host of other excellent innovative businesses, namely
Wilf’s Café – escape to Wilfs to sample their yummy hot chocolates!

Le Pain de Paris Bakery…. owned by Aidan Monk who has great passion for his profession and shares this with us all as he takes our breadmaking courses - knead that dough!

Real ale your thing...or simply fancy a brewery tour and a beer? Then Hawkshead Brewery is the place to be. Their beer hall is just the place for a bit of a do, where - Outside Catering can create a fabulous feast to feed your guests!

Out of the Woods is just along from LucyCooks where John makes some truly wonderful things from all kinds of wood (including all LucyCooks dining tables, benches and shelves)
